Joan Coffman is a dynamic, results oriented governmental, healthcare

leader with diverse experience across non-profit, for- profit, rural and

urban health systems and multi-specialty physician clinics and faith-based

healthcare sectors.

Ms. Coffman currently serves as President and CEO of St. Tammany Health

System in Covington, LA. St. Tammany has received Leapfrog’s Grade “A”

for 20 consecutive reporting periods, and it is rated by Fitch with an AA-

with a stable outlook. Today, St. Tammany includes a 281-bed hospital, 1

offsite Emergency Department, 3 diagnostic centers, 1 cancer center, 1

Graduate Medical Education Program, over 3,100 colleagues, over 105

employed providers, 600 members on the Medical Staff and has welcomed

over 62,000 babies-and counting.

Joan’s professional association network is vast with current leadership

positions as a member of the American Hospital Association Board of

Trustees for a three-year term, Vizient Southern States (Phoenix) Board of

Directors as Immediate Past Chair, Louisiana Hospital Association Board of

Trustees, St. Tammany Corporation Board Chairwoman, and the

Northshore Business Council Executive Committee. She was appointed to

serve a three-year term as a board member of the United Way of

Southeast Louisiana and named a member of the Louisiana’s Committee

of 100 for Economic Development.

Prior to her tenure at St. Tammany Health System Joan served as President

& CEO of St. Mary’s and St. Joseph’s of Hospital Sisters Health System. She

has a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of New

Orleans and
