Maria Huete is a nonprofit leader and community advocate dedicated to strengthening families, developing civic leaders, and building a more connected and resilient Greater New Orleans. Through her leadership with the Junior League of New Orleans, she works to advance volunteerism, leadership development, and community impact while fostering partnerships that address critical needs across the region.

Maria has built a distinguished career in nonprofit leadership and community engagement, serving in numerous leadership roles with organizations that improve education, workforce development, and quality of life throughout Southeast Louisiana. She currently serves on the boards or executive committees of organizations including the University of Holy Cross, Citizens for a Better New Orleans, Rebuilding Together New Orleans, and St. Elizabeth's Guild. She also serves as Public Policy Vice Chair for United Way of Southeast Louisiana's Women United and has provided longstanding leadership to Café Reconcile, including serving as Board Chair.

A graduate of Loyola University New Orleans, Maria is passionate about developing leaders, strengthening nonprofit organizations, and creating opportunities that empower individuals and families. Her collaborative leadership style and commitment to public service have made her a trusted partner across the nonprofit, civic, and business communities as she continues to champion initiatives that create lasting impact throughout Louisiana.
