Missy Hopson (formerly Sparks), PhD serves as Vice President of Talent & Learning at Ochsner Health. She leads her team in developing a diverse talent pipeline to support top quality patient care across the Gulf South. She has established an effective workforce development platform to grow the pipeline of healthcare professionals through Ochsner-sponsored training programs for internal and external candidates with a focus on opening career pathways for the unemployed/underemployed. Additionally, she partners with her team to develop strategies to advance learning and professional development, college and post-graduate internships and fellowships, orientation & onboarding,  coaching & mentoring, and performance development.

She serves on the Workforce Development Boards of Orleans (Vice-Chair) and Jefferson Parishes, YouthForce NOLA, Dress for Success New Orleans, the New Orleans Career Center, Morris Jeff Community School and co-leads the workforce and education committee of Ellevate Louisiana.
